Raised in the Philippines and now based in LA, jdv plus is singer, songwriter, and producer Jaime de Venecia.

The plus sign (“+”) is an emblem of his commitment to continual evolution and growth, both spiritually and artistically.

After leaving his hometown of Makati City at 18, de Venecia started producing and DJing as jdv plus while studying Music at Wesleyan University.

He released his first full-length project 重量 (weight) in 2013 and became a resident DJ/performer at venues on campus, opening for acts including Awkwafina, Mykki Blanco, and Chrome Sparks.

His second full-length project empty_mirror (2015) served as his senior thesis, which he performed live to a 150-person audience.

Moving to California introduced a new, radiant warmth to his sound. After relocating to LA in 2015, de Venecia shifted his focus to songwriting and singing. He collaborated with four artists on his 6-song EP Advance (2016), and his single "Dragonfly" was a semifinalist in 2017's International Songwriting Competition.

In 2018, he put out a rap mixtape – cuatro – as his alter ego deli¢adeza.

In 2022, he released Plus Universe Diaries, Vol. 1 on all streaming platforms.
